APPLICATION PROCESS

Your vending space will be given to you when you arrive that morning. As we use a different plan at every vendor event, please respect our policy. You will receive all details by email upon your application confirmation/acceptance.. 

No dogs/pets: Leave your pet(s) at home. If we are on the property of the NYC Department of Parks  or private property including religious facilities, pets should be left at home.

ZERO honking policy! Do NOT honk your vehicle for any reason. 

It is not permitted to sublet or share an assigned space without permission from Management. 

Vendors must have and show, at the pop-up vendor market, all required permits and licenses upon request if required.

Vendors must clearly specify what merchandise they are bringing to the market (in the application). It’s not permitted to sell any merchandise that was not agreed upon in the application process. Management also reserves the right to enter all vendor spaces and inspect all merchandise and equipment.

The following are prohibited: any false descriptions, advertising, or promotion in written, photo/graphic or verbal form; any drinkable or edible alcohol; cannabis and tobacco products; animals (including pets of any kind); any counterfeit products, imitations, or trademarked goods; controlled substances; pornographic literature, photos, videos, film, and any other related products; weapons of all kinds; fireworks or and pyrotechnics; use of any offensive images or language; and any items or actions that are viewed by Management to be a danger or a threat to the safety of the markets visitors, vendors and/or staff. Management has the right to request that any items be removed completely that do not meet the market’s legal requirements.

Vendors are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully to visitors, fellow vendors, and the ISLAND VENDOR MARKET Staff.

Vendors should not solicit other vendors for any reason.

No Smoking on premises…You can go outside to smoke.

Trash & Cleaning

• Each vendor is responsible for leaving their space clean.
• Do not leave anything in the tents/under tables, including tape, rope, wires, etc.
• Each vendor is responsible for taking their waste/trash with them.

Electricity/ Power

• If you are indoors, we will ensure you have electricity if needed.

Tablecloths

• All vendors MUST use tablecloths on all tables. Decorate, decorate, decorate.
• Any boxes, merchandise, or personal effects must be covered and hidden from view.

Vendor Badges

• All vendors will be given a vendor name tag to be worn so visitors can identify them;
• Staff will be wearing identifiable badges.

Restrooms

• If you have to use the Restrooms, please ensure someone is at your table. Or cover your merchandise and leave, you can put RETURN IN 5 MINUTES sign there.

Walls/floors

• Vendors are NOT permitted to use tape on the walls, floors, etc. outdoors or indoors.
• Vendors are NOT permitted to pin, drill, or hammer anything into the walls/floors outdoors or indoors.
• Vendors may lean items against the wall but please be cautious not to leave marks, scratches, or anything that may damage the surface.

Security

• You should always keep an eye on your belongings.
• ISLAND VENDOR MARKET is not responsible for lost and/or stolen goods. If any incidents do occur, please notify staff immediately.
• Do not leave your cash box or purse lying around your space, even if “hidden.” Always keep your money on you. You can also obtain vendor insurance for the day. Please inquire. 

Other

• NO pets. Some customers may have allergies and this may hinder business. 
• NO burning candles or incense.
• NO “bargain” discount signage or bins unless it’s our annual sales event.
• NO smoking of any kind (tobacco, vapor, and cannabis).
• NO alcoholic beverages.
• NO loud amplified music that reaches beyond your space.
• NO profanity – remember this is a family event.

Termination and Changes to Terms

• ISLAND VENDOR MARKET and Management reserve the right to make any changes to the terms, rules, and regulations without notice.
• ISLAND VENDOR MARKET and Management reserve the right to terminate any agreement with a vendor for any reason.

Counterfeits & Trademark Infringement

It is absolutely prohibited to bring, distribute, offer to sell, sell, or promote any counterfeit products, imitations, or trademarked goods in any shape, form, or function. If violations are found, the vendor will be removed and barred from any future participation. 

Federal law prohibits illegal activity by vendors, including the distribution, offer for sale, and sale of any counterfeit merchandise, and this is punishable by significant fines and imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Before vending at the ISLAND VENDOR MARKET pop-ups, you must read and sign the Vendor Agreement  at the end of the application form.
